- Appointed Second Deputy in 1998 & First Deputy in 1999.
- Active member of Sacred Heart Church & Choir; XI Alpha XI Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi; and on Committee for new County Website
- Born and raised in Boone County, I have one son, Troy and a grandson.

- Retired Iowa National Guard officer
- Longtime Member of Boone American Legion chapter
