The Preamble to the United States Constitution: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
There is so much going on in this county, state, and nation to destroy democracy. We can fight back to regain the rights and freedoms we are losing and to restore justice and promote the general welfare of all Americans. While it may seem overwhelming, everyone can find a way to help in the battle. Below are listed things you can do and things you should know.

Be a part of the BCD at the Boone County Fair this week: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B044EA9A82CAAF85-57529855-boone#/ The fair parade will be Thursday, July 17th. Go to the Boone and Scenic Valley RR parking lot between 4:30-5:00pm (when the parade starts) and look for our newly renovated float with lots of shaded seating.

Every Saturday at 1 pm Boone Voices United has a sign protest on the corner of Story and Mamie Eisenhower. They have signs available so just show up.

State Fair volunteer opportunities - The Iowa State Fair is coming up August 7–17, and the Iowa Democratic Party will once again have a booth to connect with voters and show the contrast with Republicans.
